Overeaters Anonymous is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating.
We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.
Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.

Every OA group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions. Your donations support our mission at the local, regional, and world service levels.

Is there a cost to join?
No, there are no dues or fees for membership. We are self-supporting through our own contributions.
Do I need to sign up for a meeting?
No registration is required for most of our regular meetings. You are welcome to simply show up and listen.
Is OA a diet or weight loss club?
OA is not a diet club. We are a fellowship of individuals recovering from compulsive overeating through a spiritual program of Twelve Steps.
What if I'm not sure I have a problem?
You are welcome at any 'open' meeting. Listening to others' stories is the best way to determine if OA is for you.
